Our journal
Focus and scope
Comptes Rendus Chimie is a peer-reviewed electronic journal with open access that covers all fields of chemistry (organic, inorganic, bioinorganic, organometallic, macromolecular, physical, solid state, etc.).
It mainly publishes original research articles, but also special issues, review articles, historical perspectives, pedagogical texts or conference proceedings and texts reflecting the activity of the French Academy of sciences in the field of Chemistry, with no limit in length and in a format as flexible as necessary (figures, associated data, etc.). Articles are published in English or French.
Editorial process
Comptes Rendus Chimie follows a strict and transparent peer review policy, in a single blind process, in order to ensure the excellence of its contents:
- All manuscripts submitted to Comptes Rendus Chimie are first evaluated by the editor (editor-in-chief, guest editor or associate editor) in charge of the submission, to verify that they meet the general criteria of the journal;
- Once this first step is completed, the editor initiates the peer review process and assigns experts;
- Authors propose revisions to their manuscript, taking into account the editor's and experts' remarks, until a final version is validated for publication (Accepted Author Manuscript);
- This final version of the manuscript is sent to the editorial teams, who prepare the final proofs of the article (Version of Record) and put them online, after receiving the publication agreement signed by the authors.
