Francesca Ingrosso joined the University of Lorraine faculty in 2008, after obtaining her PhD at the University of Pisa in 2005, a post-doctoral appointment at Colorado State University (Branka Ladanyi’s group), and two postdocs at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris (Casey Hynes’ group), one of which was funded by a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship. Her research focuses on modeling solvation at a molecular level, with a special interest in complex environments and time-dependent phenomena. Molecular properties and reactivity are studied by means of quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics as well as multi-scale techniques. Since 2018, she has been the director of the French Network on solvation, SolvATE.
