Anomalies, Gauss laws, and Page charges in M-theory
Comptes Rendus. Physique, Volume 6 (2005) no. 2, pp. 251-259.

We review the E8 model of the M-theory 3-form, and its applications to anomaly cancellation, Gauss laws, quantization of Page charge, and the 5-brane partition function. We discuss the potentially problematic behavior of the model under parity.
